cadaver my Sony A350 is only a couple months old and it has CF. I'd much rather have CF vs the Sony sticks. CF is still common among DSLR's.
This is a good card for a pro DSLR. I did not fill it up after a month in Greece with a 6 megapixel DSLR shooting RAW+JPEG. I shot thousands of images.
It is not the fastest but for most, you won't notice the difference in camera and would need a very fast card reader out of camera. Only a pro photographer worries about out of camera speed.
I think I paid $50 after a rebate in 2007 (which was a great deal at the time). 6-12 megapixel cameras will be good for this card for RAW or RAW + JPEG shooters. JPEG only shooters, less of an issue for any size.
How reliable is lexar with their rebate? Are they same as crucial?

deal no more,
been pulled from the site.
Pah, have fun waiting by your mailbox for THAT rebate.
This would be a great way to double the memory on an old iPod Mini or to replace the iPod Mini's hard drive. It works great. If you google CF card to replace iPod Mini Hard drive, you should find the instructions.
Got in on B&H selling the 8G for $70 yesterday, so bought the limit of 3 for the rebate. Let's hope I actually make $30 on the deal (minus $5 for shipping).
Tee-hee!!
btw - 133x for standard shooting is more than enough. I'll be using these with a D300 shooting uncompressed (raw), and I've already tried out a 2G from the same line... Never waited for the camera to write, though I didn't use burst mode or continuous.
These will be replacing my handful of old 1G 16x Lexar and 2G Sandisk Extreme III cards.
Great deal. I bought some free after rebate 4GB SD Lexars from Adorama a few months ago - the rebate (actually, Visa cash cards) came pretty quickly - ~3 weeks.
Consider using certified mail to send in your rebate. It only costs a few dollars and gives you proof that they received your submission.
Just ordered three 4GB... Can't beat $7.95 each AR. No problem with Adorama rebates the last time.
