    Not according to the history. There were some plasmas for around $700.

    Plasma > LCD with the exception of power consumption and maybe Hz, but LCDs had issues with fast motion which made the 120Hz highly recommended. For plasmas, this is not the case.

    I bought an LG via ben several months back. It wasn't the ultra thin model, but just a regular 42". I have absolutely no qualms about it. It works wonderfully.

    I've noticed a pretty common trend of people saying oh this was $x a month ago or whatever but you really have to look at the model and/or specs when comparing. For a 120Hz model, I don't think I have seen this price before. If you read the reviews you will see some people have had an issue with a gray line on the TVs, but other than that they say it's great. The fact that Newegg is a very reliable vendor should negate the chance of receiving one with that defect. I don't think returning would be an issue.

    LG = Lucky Goldstar

    You probably wouldn't buy a "Goldstar" TV so why should you consider a "Lucky Goldstar" TV?
