Is 120hz worth the extra $300-$500?

I think the premium here is that it is super thin. 120 hz isn't 500 bucks extra generally

I think this is the Scarlet model (Premuim LG). If you're not a gamer or watch lots of sports, then 120hz wouldn't be worthy. I would spend the same for a 1080P 52"

120hz is for films/movies and eliminating 3:2 pull down you get when trying to display 24fps on a 60hz display.

Games are no more than 60hz and TV broadcast is generally only 30.

Are we ever going to get to the point where manufacturers list milliseconds of picture delay when using HD and SD signals? According to a commenter on Newegg, it has a 4ms (LCD) response time. Kind of important for those of us that still have SD video game systems like PS2.

120 hz doesn't help gamers enjoy a smoother picture?

maybe from a computer hooked to this screen playing games, but as said above, consoles prolly only deal out 60Hz. Although I could see the 360 and PS3 having the possibility of a firmware upgrade to allow 120hz.

and Krom laughs at your PS2 on a nice LCD.
