#1 is right there are 1080p 42inch tvs at walmart by arion and viore, plus an rca thats 40inch under 600. also, a honeywell just over 600
i got a Vizio 42" 1080p at wally's for 598 a few weeks ago.
id hold out for a 1080p, since the prices have been drastically dropping

Your electric bill will go up with a plasma unit.
Alternatively, your electric bill won't go up that much with a LED unit.
How will your electric bill do when going from a CRT TV?
I read somewhere that Samsung claims that the LEDs use 30% less power than comparable LCD TVs. They do run a lot cooler then LCDs.
