give some good input, don't try to be a smartass who knows the bad side of everything. I could say bad stuff about the latest TV's out there but why? This is a great deal for 399, are you crazy? even at 50' the 720 is pretty decent and would be a great addition to any average family entertainment system. Who broadcasts at 1080p? How much would the receiver cost? how much would the plan that broadcast enough channels in 1080p? If you have the money get the 1080p, LED/LCD 240/360hz active 3D etc... for the price this is a GREAT DEAL. worthy of BENS BEST
LG makes excellent plasma HDTVs. I narrowed down my choices to the LG 750 and Panasonic G 25 in 2010. I decided to go with the LG because of the reviews, features, THX certification that allows professional calibration. Moreover, the screen is a single sheet of glass with capacitive touch controls if you ever need them. I always use the remote course. It wasn't until 2012 that couple makers began using the Apple tablet format for HDTVs like mine. There are still only one or two models around. I bought mine at Amazon I have never seen it displayed in any store, including high-end audio/video places. It looks is beautiful today is one I bought it. Anyone who thinks LG makes sub-par panels has never owned one.
50" at 1366 x 768 resolution = pain

It is what it is, if viewing at over 6' away you may seldom notice it's less than 1080p. Free in store pickup may require a truck/SUV/etc
