WOW! This is the lowest I've ever seen for this TV. I was feeling left out for not making the purchase from TigerDirect for $1500 a few days ago. I've read that the 8600 series are having more problems than the 7600. Let's hope I don't get a defective one.
I should have waited for this deal... well ... this probably will be one of the best 3D TVs. very bright .. for me the magic remote is a hit, took some time to get used to it, a little bigger size would be better. I use the TV with LG blu-ray player with USB drive in it love it love it love it.
I've heard mixed review about the remote as well Jerry. You must have a pretty big living room for the 55" not to be big enough. I'm planning to connect my PC to it to watch all the shows and movies.
