Based on what? The PS3 costs more and doesn't play netflix movies. Price is comparable to the Samsung network bluray player.

Having Netflix available is damn nice. I've never understood the BD-Live deal... does anyone even bother with it?

Play-On lets you stream anything from the internet to your PS3 (or other gaming systems)

it is pretty modestly priced too. I have no complaints thus far, and has more features than streaming with windows media player.

coming from a PS3 owner and knowing my sister bought either this exact model, or a similar one, the ps3 is a no brainer. You have to hard wire the LG and ps3 has wii-fi for one, lots of other benefits for gaming, playing music from your pc, etc... now if they would only come out with some decent PS3 games.

Might have to check Play-on out. I've never been impressed with PS3's browser and Windows Media Player is a joke and a hassle to set up properly.

Good thing I didn't get my PS3 for games, although I have a few now. Funny, I play pool at PS3 Home more than the games I bought for it.
