I have this exact model... it works pretty good as my primary living room Netflix machine. My only complaint, and this may be an issue with all Blu-ray players right now - is that it takes a few minutes to boot up once you turn it on, like 2-4 minutes.
LG puts out a ton of updates frequently so you always have the latest and greatest software for any new movies. Plus this thing can play any copied movie. My other blu-ray pukes at some recently burned DVD movies that I obtained through less than legal sources - but this has played every single thing I've thrown at it.
OK, my sister bought a $70 Samsung at Frys more than 8 months ago. It just updated its "firmware" to get everything you can think of. Hulu +, Blockbuster, VuDu, Cinema Now, Pandora, some of the music thing may be Slacker, and at least eight more things including the regular Netflix, YouTube, etc. I was flabbergasted because my stupid LG high-end plasma has nothing but Netflix, VuDu, Cinema Now (sucks, no HD), and a blank spot "Coming Soon" that has been there for 12 months. That Samsung is practically a media box in of itself. Passes through a Yamaha receiver that pulls out at least Dolby 1
I bought one yesterday but haven't received it yet. It was either this one or Ben's sizzling hot deal on the Philips BDP3406. A tough choice because the 2 look about equal. This one appeared just as good or better and it's $10 cheaper. And, I have had better luck with LG brand than Phillips.
