    Ben, there's a big difference between your label and "Blu-ray reader/DVD writer." What you said in your label is that it can write both.

    take the ebill me thing off of it and i am sold.
    just dont like those weird rebate programs where you sign up for some service and have to hassle to cancel it before they charge you arms and legs.

    Anyone know what's the best (inexpensive, legal) software to use for watching blu-rays on WinXP?

    @dorianh49:

    I just bought windvd pro 2010 from http://store.corel.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?productId=117746&catalogId=10103&storeId=10302&langId=-1. It lists winxp SP3 in the requirements. On sale for $59.99 then used coupon code P436829 for half off of that. I went through the coupon codes at http://www.retailmenot.com/view/corel.com and found one or two that brought the final price down to $23.99. Most of the codes at retailmenot did not work so I did not get it down to under $20 as I had hoped.

    Cyberlink DVD Suite 7 lists winxp SP3 in the requirements, the latest cyberlink apps have become too bloated for my taste.

    BTW, the corel store did not allow me to add it to my cart in firefox but worked fine in IE.

    @flylow:

    Thank you. I was just about to purchase WinDVD Pro 2010 for $30 when I thought I might check the reviews on amazon.com:

    http://www.amazon.com/Corel-WDPR2010ENMB-WinDVD-Pro-2010/dp/B002J9PO4C/ref=s11?ie=UTF8&s=software&qid=1258483295&sr=8-1

    Yikes! Any other suggestions?

    Maybe I'll try the trial. How is it working on your system? And, what are your specs and OS?

    this is a cool drive. I got it from frys for 80 bucks a few weeks ago. it comes with powerdvd8 oem (must download this as a free update to powerdvd7) and that plays blu ray just fine for no extra cost. And the drive burns dvds good too. Wink

    Doesn't play blu-ray, unfortunately.

    EDIT: Wow! I didn't know that the latest version supports blu-ray. I'll have to check it out! THANKS!
