T-Mobile has the LG Google Nexus 4 16GB Android Smartphone (T-Mobile) for $100 - $50 rebate = $50 with free shipping. Requires a new or upgraded 2-year agreement.
Quad-core 1.5 GHz Krait CPU, 2GB RAM, Android OS 4.2
I am on non-contract with t-mobile and an i-phone. I only get 2g most places but have started finding 3g here and there. I can't wait till this summer when they say they will be selling the i-phone on no contract plans. I hope at that time they will have more 3g / 4g support.
Right now $50 for iphone is great even if I only get 2g when I am driving around. Unless I am sitting someplace I only do e-mail on the phone anyway.
Also, I don't think tmobile is long for this world. The scuttlebutt is they have a hiring freeze in place, have killed most employee benefits such as service discounts and if anyone leaves the company they are not filling the vacancy.
It's likely they will attempt another sale. This time they are going to make the company look like it is in dire straights so that regulators approve the transaction.
Better off just spending the extra $200 for an unlocked one that doesn't stick you with T-mobile for a couple years. I just got my nexus 4 and am on pay-as-you-go net10. So far so good.
Worst customer service of all the cell companies. I bought a prepaid phone with free $50 airtime card offer. Card did not come with the phone, called them, arguing with several CS reps for 45 minutes before they finally accepted responsibility. Bastards!!
You will end up paying for two at the end of the contract.
Is there a updated model on the way ?

buy it on googles play store, and you can get the tmobile value plan and save about $20 per month if you spend the extra 200 up front.
