Tiger Direct now sends tigers directly to you instead of processing rebates. Just look at that picture. Scarier than The Ring...

65" is really a huge screen. But does LG have good quality?

LG 3d doesnt have the details like others (active) but it not that far off. When it come to 3d crosstalk is very important and LG passive is the way to go. There's absolutely no crosstalk (ghosting) which mess up the 3d effects. Active 3D surfer from this.
Active also darker than passive due to the alternative blocking of each eye less light reaching your eyes. Active 3D also not a natural way to see 3D but its not that bad if the frequency is high enough. Although Sony is combating this by blocking only the TV area of the eye instead of blocking the whole eye. Make it brighter and more natural but it is theory and execution is another matter and the glass would be like a mini monitor/computer which greatly increase the already expensive and heavy glasses.

When it come to passive 3d LG is ahead of the pack. Only Vizio and Toshiba has passive (Sigma has it but its not a big player) and none of them can touch LG. Panasonic is coming out with passive 3d sets next month and join the passive camp so it remain to be seen if they can compete with LG. But Panasonic is not known for LCD, lED set so its doubtful. In fact this will be the first year Pana coming out with LCD,LED bigger than 42". I dont know if passive will even be possible for plasma glass.

Reviewers are generally prefer passive despite the lack of resolution which LG hope to correct by pushing hard 4K resolution which would make passive 3d the undisputed winner assume that media sources resolution wont go pass 1080p.
