      Sprint phones Do Not work with VM.
      VM has all their VM phones really locked.
      VM user for a long time

      Virgin Mobile uses the Sprint network... in fact, Sprint has owned Virgin Mobile since 2009:

      It's also a funny thing that Sprint owns Boost Mobile too Smile

      I've been a Virgin Mobile user for a long time as well and have received pretty good service in the southern California area. Another option you may want to consider is Ting, which (as you might guess), also uses the Sprint network but is actually run by the folks at Tucows:

      Some of my friends have started that service and have been very happy with that as well.

      thanks #4. ting seems to be the most flexible carrier in the market.

      does anyone know if i can buy a GSM phone say on Ben's posts here to get it to work on ting's?
