I bought the old one and my biggest complaint was that the neck band is not stable and tends to slide around on the neck. While working out this can cause a lot of discomfort, and I wish it clipped to something to prevent this (like on the ears.) That aside the battery life is great and I haven't broken it yet.
I *love* the 700. I wear it at the gym, while rollerblading, running... Definitely in for the new model!
I heard this new model has horrible connectivity issues.
One of the Amazon reviewers said that its range was not as good as the 700. OTOH, the 700's range is really exceptional.
