After having multiple surfboards crap out on me, I got pretty well tired of having to deal with the ISP. So I purchased this modem(brand new, though) and thus far it's been fairly decent. No problems in about the 6 months or so I've had it.
is this thing hackable like a surfboard though?
Strange #1, tons of people have surfboards without any problems.
Hacking your modem is a good way to get the ISP to drop you. With today's broadband speeds and the other end usually being the bottleneck, why would you even bother? To get P2P working a little faster?
