Works with Windows 7 Media Center. Only works with Media Center versions of XP, Vista and W7. It is like running MC on your TV. If you don't need the MC interface, pick up a CinemaTube from BrightView for a lot less.

You are better off getting an Xbox 360 instead. These were $50 a few months ago for a reason.

#3, where were they $50 a few months ago? These go for $100+ regularly on eBay.

Here is a feedback from someone who actually use this device (myself): This device is AWESOME! I purchased it from eBay used for $130 couple weeks ago. The great thing about it - you connect it to TV, run setup on computer ... but (!) you don't need computer from this point - this device connects directly to Wi-Fi (or even better - wired ethernet conection to router or modem) and to internet TV (computer is off)! So, if you have high speed broadband connection - using this device you can get HD TV with just another remote in your hand. My feedback is highly positive!

Uh...don't know what you were using #5 but it wasn't this device. Pretty much all Extenders that I know of need to have a Media Center PC to function. This one in particular NEEDS a PC running to operate.

I have been using my DMA2100 for over a year now, first with Vista Media Center and now with Windows 7 Media Center. The extender relies on a Windows Media Center PC and only a Windows Media Center PC that has to be running and networked. With the extender you get the same interface that is on the Media Center except for there is no netflix streaming and you cannot play DVDs unless you use a free add on, everything else, recorded tv, live tv, music and photos can run through the extender. It does have some issues, slow to boot up for one but overall its not a bad device. Yes a xbox360 will do the same thing but costs a little more if you are just looking for a extender, also to get wireless on a xbox360 is going to cost you even more.

I am using this device most certainly. I used PC to setup the device and to install plugin. Now it doesn't need a PC to run. Connects to wireless (router) signal and via plugin goes directly to internet TV website. Select a channel ... that's it!

Click the history link. This is the highest price this thing's sold for since last August.

Funny, now that the price is LOWER, the link says "EXPIRED". Since $99 is a better bargain than $133, shouldn't Ben remove the word "bargains" from the website?
