    fyi, doesn't support GigE and the reviews on NewEgg seem to suggest there's not a consensus on this product.

    Yes. The D-Link DNS323 seems to be better overall, but it's more expensive.

    This thing is a real dog. It is no faster than the NSLU2, which is ancient. I have used the DNS 323 and the buffalo linkstation pro. Both are much better all the way around than this nas.

    I'm not to worried about speed, just a place to keep my backups that will run when I'm asleep so I bought this from newegg last week for $129.00. I was waiting for about one month for it to go on sale somewhere and of course after I buy it...

    Don't say you're not worried about speed until you realize how slow this thing is... It's SLOW. I thought I had mine configured incorrectly before sending it back.
