NewEgg.com has the Linksys WPC300N Wireless-N Notebook Adapter for $20 with free shipping. It has excellent user reviews from people who have upgraded their notebooks' sluggish wireless to this beast. Take note that it is CardBus interface, not ExpressCard.

Go with the combo deal, this and the WRT150 Refurb for $52 unless you already have an N router. Available on the same page this links to.

Still, a decent price for N adapter if you have cardbus. My notebooks use the ExpressCard interface.

are N products interoperable with all AP's or is it like the late g products with channel bonding and not interoperable with certain AP's?

They are interoperable, you'll just won't connect or benefit from the N features (range and/or speed).

If your laptop is still sporting cardbus, you've probably got some other upgrade concerns higher on the list. Still a nice price.

Do you need both an N router AND this to get the extended range of N, or will an N wireless router give me better range with my laptop that has a G card in it? Not talking speed, just range. Tx

I believe you'll need the N laptop adapter as well (as it has a built in antenna as well)...
