Bought it for twice the price about 2 years ago. Works absolutely fantastic. Not a single complaint about this router.

Sign up for Verizon FIOS and get a Wireless G router for free... Plus it beats the @#$% out of DISH, DirectTV, etc.

#3, did you just compare internet service to television service? I'm pretty sure they are completely different things...

#s 1 and 2, the router you bought has completely different firmware. This one is questionable. Anyone looking to buy this check the hundreds of posts about this one by searching this site.

There have been many revisions to this product over the years to cheapen it. It is not the same as what people were buying 2 years ago even though it is still a G model. They reduced the memory and some other hardware specs and put a non-Linux OS that didn't need as much memory. Get the GL model that is like what was offered in the past and could handle all kinds of Linux firmware hacks to boost output power and add loads of features normally found on much more expensive routers. If you want better than this Buffalo makes one http://www.newegg.com/Product/CustratingReview.asp?Item=N82E16833162173 that will take the same Linux hacks and has better customer satisfaction for a few bucks more.

#6, well said. I've bought 4 of the Buffalo models and they work well.
