I like this router, I'm connected on it right now. It's a bit old though. I probably wouldn't pay 40 for it. I bought mine for 40 3 years ago, but it really is more stable than the few newer ones I've tried.

A few years ago it was simple. Anybody asks about routers you could just say "buy a Linksys", knowing Linksys routers were always rated at or near the top. Then Cisco bought out Linksys and it's been a long slow slide downhill for Linksys quality. The WRT54G you bought 5 years ago is not the same WRT54G you get now. Sad....

i would get the wrt54gl that runs linux firmware, and flash it with tomato. that would be a solid solution, not this.

Tomato has some limitations, but it is roughly a babillion times better than Linksys firmware.

Some WRT54 models can be flashed for IPv6 support. Not like many people out there have any need to do that, but it can be done.

maybe if Technogeek points the Linksys antenna to transmit to outer space then he might get lucky and a ufo will come down and do bacon pot pie experiments on him. That's as close that he will ever get to know what sex is

Nice that you don't have to fiddle w/ a rebate on this deal. I have zero confidence in linksys rebates.
