ZipZoomFly has the Lite-On iHOS104-06 4X Blu-ray Drive for $65 - $15 rebate [Exp 11/30] = $50 with free shipping. Reads DVD discs at 8x, CDs at 32x, and Blu-ray discs at 4x. Sports a 2MB buffer and a SATA interface.
I got one of these a few weeks back (for $10 more but still seems like a deal). It came with PowerDVD8 OEM which seems to be somewhat of a piece of crap. I bit the bullet and upgraded to PowerDVD9 Ultra and while not perfect it does work and somewhat integrates with media center in Windows 7. No complaints about the hardware though. Does what it says.
powerdvd8 oem plays blu rays, and it's free with the purchase of the drive. That's pretty good if you ask me, when software alone can be more than 50 dollars.
50 BUCKS!! ....DOH!
50 for player 1000 to switch over your dvd collection. seems like a bargain in the short run.
drop a zero and put these in the garbage bargain bin
Does it come with the BD player software? Reviews at the egg indicate it does, even in the OEM version, but the ZZF website says nothing about this.
i have had newegg oem's come with nero express and/or that dvd player thing in the past.
