nice, I'm sure this would be hackable one way or another.

If you click thru and check the bigger pic on ZZF, the Disc loading tray shows 'DVD-ROM' and the 'Compact Disc' logo. But tellingly, no mention of any 'Writing' capability logos. I have to conclude that this thing can't actually *Write* anything. Unless someone already has a hack going for this posted somewhere.

Yeah, i just read the specifications...no writing capabilities apparently. Only READS BD, DVD and CD. What a piece of junk.

The description never claimed it to have writing capabilities; for an internal BD reader, this is still a good deal.

Seems like it's not junk if all you want is a reader and don't assume it does stuff they don't list. I think I'll give it a try for my htpc. It has a DVD-RW in it and I have yet to use the writer feature, I just want to rip & watch on that machine.

Easier to just get your rips off P2P. Cheaper & less time spent too. Use the neighbor's wifi if you must.

Let Blu-Ray die already, fvck sony and their betamax mentality. Once we let it die we can adopt it's successor that much sooner.
