I have this and dropped it with my iPad 2 in it. The aircraft grade aluminium got dented but ended up saving the ipad from what was a bad fall. Even though the case is dented I can still use my iPad in it. Good buy.
Didn't expire. The deal is still good. It doesn't say anything about being iPad 3 compatible..
