TigerDirect.com has the Logitech DiNovo Cordless Media Bluetooth Desktop with Laser Mouse for $150 - $40 rebate [Exp 11/19] + $7 shipping = $117 shipped. It actually has design features befitting the hefty price, such as a super slim profile and an included media control center (disguised as the numeric keypad). [Review : BizRate]

I tried to get a rebate out of these guys for a hard drive and it was next to impossible, just a caution.

    got it. love it.

i bought mine for cheaper, so if you can wait out, i would. I was able to get mine from amazon. I believe for $90 is what i got mine for Very Happy!

as for the mx5000, it's cheaper, but there are more negative reviews and complaints concerning the design and usability. i would have been content with the mx3100 (older), but since that item became more rare and more expensive, i went for the dinovo laser

I can atest for the MX3100... It's been great. I'm not a gamer, so it's fits my needs well. The battery indicator is a nice feature, unlike the mouse on the MX Duo which I also have.

FWIW, this isn't a normal TigerDirect rebate, so it may be easier to get paid.

Can anyone suggest a decent wireless keyboard (maybe a keyboard/mouse set) that has the key feel of a good laptop keyboard (Thinkpad or PowerBook) and is minimalist? Something simple and rectangular, no built in wrist rest or half a dozen specialty keys, and definitely no rounded, pillow shaped edges. Preferably bluetooth, too. Black or white are fine, but definitely not beige.

I've seen both the Logitech S510 and S530, and they've come the closest to what I've been looking for in terms of aesthetics, but I hate the non-removable wrist rest. Thanks.

I don't like TigerDirect. Took me almost a year of badgering to get my rebate. And you get put on their spam list when you order.

Can I hit you over the head with a hammer too, Mr. Masochist?

I have been looking at this dinovo desktop for a long time and I am so close to buying it. I have looked at the mx5000 combo as well, and yes it is cheaper but the reviews are HORRIBLE(at every site you check). This thing, however, has great reviews. Its super thin and the bluetooth numeric pad that I could use for Media Center would be great! My Microsoft remote is rf, so it can't go through the wall where my pc is. Right now I'm using a Logitech G7 and a Dell wireless Media Keyboard(which, surprisingly, rocks). I have been pricing this thing for a LONG time and this is the cheapest I've seen it.

I love this set, but I stopped using the main keyboard some time ago. Actually I have frakensteined the whole thing! This is currently one of only 2 ways to get the Bluetooth version of the MX1000 (The MX5000 combo I think is the other) I use the BT version with my Mac laptop and have a standard RF version in use along with the mediapad from this set. All the components are quality, but the laptop-style keyboard can get a little tiring. If you use a laptop most of the time, it can help you keep from "untraining" your fingers when using a desktop - for some users this is a big plus.

RE: The earlier question about a small wireless keyboard/mouse...I used a Gyration Ultra keyboard and mouse for years -- typed just like a laptop and took up little space on the ol' desk -- but I don't think those are made any more and I never see any. I'm currently using a Microsoft Wireless keyboard/mouse 700 -- no bells and whistles and keyboard hugeness, but it does have the numeric keypad and is longer as a result. Cost only $40 at CC; should be easy to find cheaper than that.
