diNovo series suck. They have software/hardware problems which keep showing battery is low. I contacted Logitech and they told me to "Clean setup"... I spent a half hour to get it work again.
For the price as high as this one, I would not expect the trouble I got.
I would get Logitech Wave to replace mine.
It seems a better unit.
It seems nice, but I'm just not willing to sacrifice the number pad and deal with technical issues for such a crucial input device.
Most people that criticize one don't even have one, and the rodeo cowboy that do have one think that just because it's expensive it should do everything for them.
This is probably one of the sleekest, most well-designed (and slim) keyboard/touchpad combos for an HTPC. I have had mine for a few days, and have not had any battery problems. But that's probably because I actually shut my keyboard OFF after I'm done using it, a concept that some people might be out of touch with.
Regardless, it does charge fairly quickly, and if you actually use the rebate on this, this is a good price. I got mine online through someone on a hardware forum for this same price.
Also, for those saying the logitech wave is a better device -- it doesn't use bluetooth, and doesn't have the range capability. Hence why people have range or interference issues with most RF keyboards/mice.
Logitech also made a DiNovo series with a separate keyboard, keypad, and mouse. However, the Edge is by far superior, and most people that post on here are semi-retarded anyway.
Sort of like bacon.
I agree with #4. When I bought it I was think I spent 100+ on a keyboard!!? But its so convenient and slick. I have a Samsung 32 flat screen that I use as a PC monitor and TV and this keyboard fits in perfect with my setup.
I've had mine for over 3 mos. now Got it for 39.99 at one of the rare Best Buy Closeouts.
No battery issues, didn't even have to load drivers. Just plug in the USB BT receiver and was good to go.
I shuttle it constantly between my HTPC and my SBS with no issues whatsoever.
Completely agree with #4 about the mental faculties of some users.
It doesn't mean that people don't like things you got are rodeo cowboy.
Nothing is perfect.
I can doubt if you really own it like you did, too.
I don't like things I have and it's my own business. I don't diss you when you do not agree with me. I have no problem with that at all.
and I don't mind #4 loves to do everything on his own when he paid more than others, as long as he is happy.
It was much cheaper last month...
Had this keyboard for about 5 months now. The thing is working flawlessly, I charge it maaaaybe once every month or so. Keys are smooth. Keyboard is gorgeous.
I paid a bit more for this, but like #10 says, it works flawlessly for me. Wish this deal was around when I bought it.
Being thin is half of why it's crap, in the design decisions they made to get it thin.
It's a fancy piece of baconnaise. It is not durable and the software is only mediocre for the price.
If it cost $50, due to $20 worth of keyboard and $30 worth of fancy casing, bluetooth, and recharge cradle, then it would be a reasonable deal. That's $50 w/o a rebate.
I love it when someone has it for a few months then thinks that's ok or proof of anything. A $5 keyboard will last a year or two at least, months means nothing much but at least Logitech has a reasonable warranty.
Also, tigerdirect sucks.
I have this keyboard and love it. Using it for htpc and ps3, works flawlessly. Battery lasts a long time, no, I dont ever turn off the keyboard. Just because some of you don't want to spend this much on a keyboard doesn't mean you need to shoot it down like it's a piece of crap. Then again, people that call it crap are probably too poor to buy one. Whatever.
Don't forget about the 10% off if you purchase 2 or more Logitech products between 11/16/2007 & 01/31/2008:

This thing looks so hot, but it'll have to be cheaper before I buy.
hmm...looks like you're buying a keyboard/mouse off a laptop
