while this is an awesome keyboard, how is this considered a deal if the price is the highest it's gotten within a year???
As long as it's lower than the MSRP, it's considered a 'deal'. Which isn't saying a lot.

i believe that the one for ~$80 was for a mac (although you can use it on a pc) so i think this is the cheapest a windows version has been recently
Luckily I got mine at crapusa when they went out of business for a fraction of the price. The charging station emits an extremely high-pitch squeal when charging though, some people can hear it and some people can't. It's very annoying. I complained to Logitech and they sent me an extra charging station and when that didn't work, they replaced the keyboard without any hassles but it just didn't fix the issue. Hardly needs charging though, so I just plug it in when I leave the house and it's good for a couple months. Great for a media center full-sized keyboard or wherever you put it. The touchpad is useful when you don't want to deal with a mouse.
is it a deal if I got it two years ago for the same price?
Well dash my hopes then people. I've been waiting for a few months on this keyboard, and here you have someone who's bought it at the same price two years ago.
