even though this thing is aimed towards the ps3 market, the fact that they didn't make all the basic functions of the ps3 controller readily accesible is piss poor. sure, you can get some of the keys through a combination of two or less keys, but not all of them. i know its not another controller and it does make typing easier, but simple things elude this and that is unexcusable given the price tag. if i had known this, i may not have purchased it.
Marketed for and compatible with are two totally different things. It's primarily an HTPC remote with control over a PS3. I've used it for my HTPC and it works better than most remotes. To have a keyboard that also has a cover, a switchable tracking/navigation button and backlighting plus the ability to close the lid and shove it between the cushions on the couch makes a win/win. Sorry you didn't research it well enough to see that it doesn't have PS3 exclusive buttons means you bought into the Sony crap too much and expect everyone else to fix their crap. Sell it on CL if you're not happy with it or I'll buy it for the right price.
I have one of these for my main HTPC and it's fantastic! I mostly use a regular old media center remote, but when I need full keyboard/mouse functionality, this little device comes in and performs like a champ.
Never any problems, I only charge it about once a month depending on usage. I'd recommend this (and have) to anyone looking for full keyboard function without a massive full size keyboard in the living room.
