This question isn't specifically about this model, but wireless keyboards in general... is there any noticeable lag when playing games? FPS in particular? Any cheap models that don't lag?

Definitely getting this one. Have been looking around for a new wireless keyboard to use with my MX revolution. This one is priced best although I am not a fan of rebates.

I have a zerbaconilt wireless keyboard and mx700 mouse combo from Logitech, dating back to '99/2000. The mouse finally died about 3 months ago, and of course by this time is out of warranty. Logitech's customer service and warranties have always spoiled me, but by far the lack of lag is the biggest draw. On other PCs I'm using a Microsoft wireless comfort combo. I can easily say that the difference in lag is astounding, as I cannot play games on the MS sets without significant lag. Pushing more than two or three keys at a time and you're fragged. Made playing WoW and Runes of Magic hellacious. Definitely find something good Logitech, you won't be disappointed. Not sure about this set yet.

That's zero dash tilt. Ben's bacon filter turned it into zebracon or whatever the !@#$ that is.

Also, mouse looks extremely lacking and plain, with only the standard two buttons and third mouse wheel/button. As a gamer I tend to go for a mouse with more buttons to bind keys and actions to (and push-tbaconalk for vent)

who can argue with the price, I would buy one for regular use but not for gaming. For gaming I will stick with the 360 and the wii. Wait those use wireless controllers so I guess this combo could be good enough?

beware, the mouse drain battery life super duper fast. KB battery life is 5x longer than the mouse.

#1, I have one set of these and I can play online games without any lag. I played on "DOD sourse" on a 8600GTS and AMD 2x 5000+ (O'c to 3.2Gh)system, I've got around 200 fps on avarage. On "Cyrsis" in 800x600 res, 20-30 fps average. This mouse and keyboard usually response instantly without any lag, unlike many other wireless K&M I used before. I would say if you do experience lag with this K&M, it's probably because the system couldn't handle the game faster enough (such as playing "Crysis" in high res in my system), not due to this wireless setup.

I got this one on RadioShack on BF for $20. I am happy with it.

It's hard to complain about the $20 price tag. I haven't used this model before but in my experience Logitech's have always been solid. I might just have to pick up one of these.

have been using mine for a couple years now. no problems. battery life does suck for the mouse as previously mentioned. but i just used a different mouse i got free from work. wireless mice are a dime a dozen these days.

haven't used it much for fps, but in rts (starcraft, warcraft, company of heroes) i don't notice any issues whatsoever.

How bulky is the keyboard? I have a MS wireless keyboard now and it's a little bulky and doesn't sit just right on my keyboard drawer. Is this one smaller by any chance? Thanks.
