I picked these up during Buy.com's $72 pricing.
Their 155 watt RMS feels a lot weaker than my old Creative/Cambridge's DTT 3500's 79 watts RMS...
Speakers definitely dont' get as loud despite having nearly twice the power (and the Cambridge did not crackle).
Also the bass is really lacking on the subwoofer. I would go for another set of speakers if you don't mind spending an extra bit more.
For pure games this is fine though. Music and movies...probably something else...
A friend of mine has this. In a dorm/smaller-ish room, it's loud enough to make sure the neighbors know what's happening, but for a larger room or for a home theater, you can't really beat a normal reciever with some more serious wattage
Not the greatest of subs, but the highs and mids sound alright.
