refurb + eCost is like hemoroids + kidney stones.

The 1000 isn't particularly well reviewed (The newer model gets some raves though).

shiny yes, but I'd rather have the black 1100 one. It has better reviews.

Just talked to Logitech directly. They use only TWO (2) distributors for REFURBISHED product, they are Amazon and Tigerdirect. Also, Logitech doesn't refurbish mice, keyboards, etc..

eCost and Geeks.com both have reputations for misrepresenting what they are selling and NOT backing their goods. C'mon Ben, don't advertise for these dishonest sellers!

The web based software for programming this remote is so totally filled with bugs, missing functions, mis-spellings, and other items that you would think it was programmed in China by rodeo cowboy. Come to think of it, maybe this is EXACTLY why it has so many problems. The hardware is actually very nice and comparatively inexpensive. The software so totally sucks.....

I'm not too sure about this orientation. I prefer the standard style remote built for one hand use.

Touch-screen remotes are a complete pain to use.
