Once I got this remote, my world changed. Of course, now that the logitech software finally WORKS for this remote, I'd definitely recommend it!

Harmony remotes are great , I've owned 3 of them. Just one warning, get an extended warranty. 2 of the three broke (one the glow light stayed on all the time, killing the batteries, and the other the light stopped working all together.) One was under warrenty the other not. Try Square Trade Warranty, I've read good reviews on them. I've covered my newest harmony (880) with this service...3 years extended for only 9 bucks!

Universal remote designed specifically for DVR users. Doesn't sound too "Universal" to me.

After #3's comments, this doesn't sound like a reliable product. I'm sure I'm not alone when I say I hate dealing with returns, rebates and warranties.

These remotes are excellent. The build quality is a little iffy .. my three year old 6xx now has some buttons that dont function, but reprogrammed a workaround. Just ordered a 520. Very easy to setup. This was the first universal remote that worked with everything I threw at it.

Software sucks. Sure, you can most of the stuff set up in about 15 minutes, then to make it work exactly like you want takes another 8 hours.

Wouldn't control my HTPC which has an IR keyboard. Still use my Sony Remote Commander for that, or the keyboard.

I looked at this one. I would spend a little more and get the 880 or Harmony one.
