This is *the* remote. Only feature it lacks is that it's IR, so it doesn't go through walls very well. Aside from that, it's great.
It can control almost anything; it will download profiles for most any piece of electronics, and once you tell it the pieces you have, it automatically creates task buttons to do what you need to do.
So you press one button -- "Watch DVD", say -- that will turn on TV, DVD, receiver, mute television, set receiver and DVD player to right outputs, etc. *Much* better than remotes that make you do all those little things yourself, and nobody but you can remember how to do all of it right.
Good price on a great remote.
Hold my trigger. hold my trigger. already spent enough for this Christmas. Man I really love to have this remote. My coffee table is overflo with remotes. .resist. . .
Great remote!
I bought a refurb one from woot for $85 shipped and am REALLY glad that I have it, although guests that come over have NO idea how to use it.
#2, this is the one you need to get rid of all those other remotes on your coffee table. Sorry about the spending thing.
Got that woot link?
I have a different model that is a couple of years old and encourage anyone to purchase one if they have a home theater system. It is much easier for my children to use and the macros make it so much better that swapping from one remote to another.
wait a while and get it for at least $30 less:

#6, Woot sells one-time deals one at a time so they don't have it now. But of course they might have it again at some later date.

Got one for Christmas, it's a great remote, can program it to do almost anything you want it to.
I have a basic version of a Harmony and it works for me, but I'm wondering if this version is "too much remote" as a gift for an elderly parent. Anyone know if its tough to program for someone techologically challenged?
Great remote. Config software's a bit slow (java-based and somewhat bloated), but good.
Only issue I have with the remote itself is its shape/button placement. The 'cool' shape means I can never figure out where the buttons are without looking, and I often mash a button just picking the thing up because they're just all OVER the remote.
Other than that, though, I love this thing.
I like this remote, just wish it was better put together. It's pretty cheaply built for a $130 remote control.
I have this remote..... is the best thing ever....
I threw away all of my remotes. Who needs remotes when you can walk up to your device and change things manually? This is a terrible waste of money. Fhags.
Is the keypad on the bottom half of the remote lighted?
Best remote....ever!!
Horrible, horrible remote. It's tedious to program, the buttons are impossible to differentiate because they're all one nice slick surface, the screen is hard to read, the battery life is not very good, and it's guaranteed to make non-techie people go "uh????" no matter how well you program it. My old Philips Pronto TSU2000 is way easier and faster to program and much more flexible. I'm always amazed by how people seem to love these remotes. I guess it's because they don't know any better.
#3 - pull the trigger, its worth it.
#16 - yes
#11 - probably too complicated for a elderly technically challenged person.
#16 the remote is lighted up when tilted (configurable)
#7 these is no macro on this remote. Just added the devices then select action (watch-dvd, watch-tv, etc) and choose the devices from your list.... Done. One button (say watch-dvd) will turn on all devices for that action (Turn on TV and set to correct input, turn on DVD player, turn on receiver and set to correct input, etc.). One button to turn off everything or switch to another action.
