nuisance_el_gordo got pwned into oblivion with this item. He stole the picture, posted later on bensbargains claiming he owned this, and sold the broken one he found in the garbage dump via eBay pawnshop. The pwning was priceless.

#2 is a mook. With this one new remote, you can chuck your other 8. It is even wife/parent proof (almost). Hit one button such as 'watch DVD' and the remote will turn on your tv,set it to the right input, turn on your receiver, set it to DVD, turn on your DVD player, all with one button. Then the 'watch DVD' activity is shown on the remote and it will have all pertinent controls for watching a DVD.

Clearly the remote is smarter than #2.

#6, Why would anyone want something so complicated and so sentient as this remote when #2's remotes accomplishes the tasks and allows him to be more in control? Besides, wealth is conveyed by the number of remotes one has. Why would you diminish that?

#8 If wealth was truly what #2 was wanting to portray, there are plenty of other all in one remotes that cost several hundred to several thousand dollars more than this measly $89 shipped remote. Even more extravagant would be to pay somebody to use those 8 remotes for you while you sit back and relax with your mistress.

Control is an illusion. If you NEED 8 remotes to do something, are you controlling them or are they controlling you.

#10, Where I come from, more is more and less is less. One remote, even if it has a fancy LCD on it shows less status than 8 remotes. 8 trumps 1, get it? Now myself, I have 15 in the LR, 5 in the kitchen, 20 in the HT room, 9 in the bedroom, 2 in each bathroom, 3 for the garage, and 2 for the deck. I think that's it. I can control tons of stuff. I am in control. I guess only #2 understands me.

I only have one remote and it's my pants it requires two batteries and they are right underneath it with always full charge. I use it to control volume of moaning on bed and and woman in general, it works lot better than this remote.

cheapest i've seen in a while for a new one, not refurb. love mine, even using it every day the battery lasts a small chunk of forever between charges.

#12...so from your logic 15 yugos are better than 1 2009 Aston Martin V12 Vantage? Seems backwards to me? Then again, what do I know.

Harmony 670 or 620 is actually a better remote. Doesn't have the fancy color lcd, but has a wider transmission angle, sturdier buttons, replaceable batteries, and is easier to use (of course, with these things, it's all relative).

#16, I think you may want to look into purchasing a sarcasm detector.

Maybe woot will have a sarcasm detector the next woot off. Thx for the tip!

Irregardless (yes, not a word), this remote is nice for those that want a true all in one.
