great remote, nice to have the settings on the pc as a back-up (alas, this was needed because it is NOT wife-proof, as mentioned above). And a great deal to boot

Great deal, great hardware. Bought this from Dell over a year ago for around $100 shipped - never regretted it.

OCZ is coming out with their own re-branding of the harmony 880 remote. It will sport an orange and black color scheme. You will also receive a free 8gb usb flash drive with the purchase of this remote.

#16, crap no, who wants a Yugo piece of junk. Well, maybe if each of the 15 came with a remote starter and a remote for the DVD player, and a remote for the trunk (can't be part of the starter Smile ).

I bought 2 of the refurbs, the usual awesome programming experience with Logitech Harmony remotes. One of the refurbs unfortunately had burnt-out IR LEDs. Using a digicam, I could see the LEDs flashing but were VERY dim compared to the other one. Fortunately IR LEDs are commonly available, here's a thread discussing the 880's LED issue:

Buy replacements from RatShack or scavenge from old remotes. Strange that this issue seems to more common on the 880 than other remotes. I'm guessing Logitech either got a bad batch of IR LEDs, or over-drove the LEDs to get more output from them. Something I'm sure they've rectified in later batches.
