Good price for a good remote. The 890 with RF would be a step up but runs quite a bit more.

By far one of the best remotes for the price. The customization is almost limitless and the IR is *far* stronger than any 1st party remote that I have. I can not afford to replace the one that died after several years of abuse.

Not a fan of these refurbed, I've had problems with the # buttons failing on 2. It IS however easy to program and replaced 5 of my remotes. Next time I plan on buying a new one or stepping up to a Harmony One.

I'm waiting for a deal on a RF-enabled one. But these are great, just not quite as great as the 890.

I got a refurb a few years ago, and soon after got a note saying there was a bug with the charger - they sent me a whole new remote, and cancelled the old one. Woot!

Have one of these and been using it a while. I really like it but the text on the keys, when illuminated, is not the easiest to read. Spent a fair amount of time configuring this with a variety of equipment. LCD screen is okay. Logitech's support for the Harmony remotes (the real techs for just these remotes) says it's good but they would go with the Harmony One. I'm thinking about it.

I like mine and it controls my whole system. I was thinking about getting the add-on device to control my PS3 with it so that would be one less remote that I would have to fool with. Even though the add-on can't turn on the PS3.

The dock charger on the 880 is horrible. I returned one to Logitech after they made some "changes" to the dock to resolve the charging issue. Didn't help too much. I replaced it with a Harmony One and never looked back.

      Speedi4got "Even though the add-on can't turn on the PS3. "

The logitech add-on CAN turn on the PS3.

It's the IR usb add-ons that can't. I've set one up and can confirm the logitech version does turn it on.

I'll agree that the 880's charger is horrible, especially before logitech fixed the design... They should have done a recall it's a design defect, and all the first gen 880's will see this problem sooner or later.

My 880 battery was defective (original from Logitech). It didn't just die--it physically expanded and broke one of the tabs on the battery compartment cover.
