best damn control in existence.
#4 actually the 890 would be considered better yet since it includes RF. Any price under $100 would be a good deal. I paid $80 ARB. It is the best universal remote I have ever had but have issues with key placement that make it a challenge to use with my DVR one handed like the remote that came with the DVR. The original DVR remote is also IR/RF so it just works everywhere and can be found new on fleabay for $20 new so I don't see why Harmony gouges so much for that feature.
#5 I know what you mean it sounds like you have a Dish PVR. I had one when I got this remote and liked my stock remote better. But then Dish would give me two DVR systems for my home and I had to switch to Direct, YUK!!!! I wish I could go back to Dish but this remote on Direct rocks.
One of the best remotes I've owned and also have it setup to control my MG35 Divx player which is really sweet. I finally can do away with that little remote.
This is a great remote. Once configured it will work on everything you own. You can even make it learn from remotes that aren't in the database. I paid $100 and was well worth it.
