Logitech has the refurbished Logitech Harmony 900 Rechargeable RF Remote with Color Touch Screen for $190 - $40 off with coupon code logi_h900r_122111 [Exp 12/24] = $150 with free shipping. Features one-touch access, sculpted backlit buttons, recharging dock and 100-ft. range.
This is a good remote, but Logitech's customer service is atrocious. The first one I got was DOA and it was a nightmare dealing with their tech support. They had no clue how to help me and were thoroughly unwilling to try. Level 2 support is totally unreachable and the time window they give for calling you is 2-3 business days.
Now that I have it set up, though - slick. The RF transmitter makes this essentially rodeo cowboy-proof - with the 880, people would occasionally point it wrong and some devices would be on but not others. With the 900, there's no place in the room I can point this where everything doesn't come up properly.
Just hope you don't get a bad one because the support department at Logitech is clearly run by rodeo cowboy.
I don't know if this particular model is worth the money, but Harmony remotes are the best out there. "Activity" logic makes life a lot easier than "device" logic, unless maybe you have only one device you want to control.
Logitech is an innovative company and I have had good luck dealing with them. I like the remote I got but I bought it new. Not a fan of refurbished merchandise even though there are good deals out there and if your lucky you may get something that actually works.
Just say no to harmony remotes. Not a big fan of the 'activites' they make you use.
#1 obviously doesnt know that you can create your own Activity buttons.
Harmony has the best remotes
