Logitech has the Logitech K750 Wireless Solar Keyboard (new, dented box) for $80 - $40 off with coupon code logi_k750_111411 [Exp 11/17] = $40 with free shipping. The first solar powered keyboard, uses ambient light to power itself, can run for three months on a full charge and includes a desktop app that can monitor battery levels, drain alerts and optical placement.
I like the idea, yet presumably has an internal rechargeable battery which will be costly to replace and not ecofriendly at that point. Better to have a wireless keyboard that uses rechargeable AA's.
Coincidentally MacCentral had a review of the Mac version of this keyboard at the same time as Ben's posting. Said Logitech listed the battery as a $5 user replaceable part, yet was covered under the 3 year warranty, and was claimed to hold a charge for 3 months of use in the dark.
The dented PC version is discounted to $60 but the full regular price of the Mac version is only $60. Suspect the primary difference is key layout and the Mac version comes with an app for monitoring light level and battery charge.

Agreed #1. I love the idea but the solar battery may not be reliable. (g they may not last long enough)
