This is a great mouse! I've had one for a few months now. Really like it.

How does it compare to the MX1000? I've been using the 1k for a few years now and it's starting to go on me and looking for a replacement. Biggest downfall I see is this isn't rechargeable. How long do batteries usually last?

I have used the mx1000 for several years, and bought 2 mx1100 last time they had this deal, figured one for work and one for home. i like it for work, but found that i prefer the 1000 at home. battery life is great.

I have two, one for work and one for home. On my work XP machine, it has no issues at all. However, for my Vista machine at home (have the 7 CD, just too lazy to upgrade yet) it seems to lag or not register movement for some reason. I'm going to swap them to see if its a mouse/reciever problem or if its a Vista problem. With my XP machine, I love this mouse! Batteries last months, and has a little lighted icon of how much juice it has left. Logitech SetPoint also shows you the battery status as well but in actual days of use you have left. I don't remember when I last changed my batteries, but it was sometime last year near september or october. SetPoint says I have 44 days left on my batteries.

#2 - got this to replace my MX1000 as it wouldn't hold a charge very well. Really like this unit - changed the batteries after 4 months, with several hours of use a day - get one.

Well, my MX1000 is so flaky that I can't use it anymore. Had to plug my old MX510 in for the time being which I like but is a little too small for my hands. Decided to jump in on this deal as $37 can't be beat if it is anywhere as nice of a mouse as the MX1000 was.
