I got a new one of these a few months ago at Best Buy for $50 and I'm not very impressed with the tracking capabilities. I've tried it on a variety of surfaces and messed with the settings for hours on end and i just am not happy with the results. All of the buttons on this mouse are very useful, but without fast, accurate tracking, this mouse is a huge disappointment. I wouldn't recommend a refurbished unit even at this price.
i wonder what the process is for disinfecting the mouse...
Got my refurbished one for a few dollars cheaper at amazon in early December. I couldn't be more happy with it. A few co-workers liked it too and have purchased theirs. I haven't had any tracking issues with a simple black mouse pad.
I have 3 or 4 of these. My favorite mouse ever. Never noticed a tracking problem, whether gaming or working, but I've heard that complaint from others. I'm not sure what is the cause, as mine has always worked smoothly whether I use the Logitech drivers or not. I'm considering ordering another 1 or 2 at this price.
#4 is right.
Logitech MX Revolution = Good
eCost.com = VERY bad
I can say no more...
Tracking precision depends on the surface it's used on. The higher the DPI claimed, the better the surface has to be to discriminate that DPI or lese it works similarly to a lower DPI mouse.
The cost is too high for a refurb'd mouse, and as #6 mentioned eCost isn't the place to buy refurbs.
I have this. Agree with #4. It's a great mouse.
This mouse was $39.99 new at best buy a few weeks ago. A refurbed one for the same price from a bad seller is definitely NOT a bargain.
Best mouse I have ever used. However, watch your 2.4GHz wireless spectrum. I had my router too close to my mouse and the mouse would jump and freeze. Now that i have the router 6 feet away its much better with no problems.
#1 is a lying.
Bad reviews on Amazon.
I love this mouse, I have 2 and they seem to work on about every surface I have tried... desk is oak and I do not use a mouse pad... I just plugged it in and didnt bother with the drivers. Good for larger hands
