You don't know where these tings have been... Seems like they've been on sale for not much more this season.

I have 3 of these. Two are refurbs, one was purchased new. Both the refurbs still work, while the new one crapped out on me. In defense of the new one, it was dropped frequently by a 5-year-old and a 9-year-old who I let play far too many games on my computer.

I bought a new one of these on black friday for $50 at Best Buy. I really wanted to like this mouse... it fits great in my hand and that precision scroll is pretty sweet, but I'm just not happy about the way it tracks. I've tried it on various surfaces and mousepads, but it just doesn't seem to be as precise as it should be. I've tried it with and without the software included and i've tried every sensitivity possible. Maybe i'm being picky, but i honestly feel like my $15 corded optical mouse tracked better. Anybody else find this issue? Any solutions?

I got one of these and it is my favorite mouse. The side scroll wheel is relly cool with Vista and multiple application switching.

Don't get the refurbished one, because sometimes the battery life is not as long as new one. And there are no way can't replace the battery.

i got this mouse a few weeks ago from best buy for $50 and its awesome. the scrolling is so sweet!

and JONdotCON: yeah i had the same experience. it took a good amount of fine tuning - and i ended up installing the software and configuring it using that too - but i finally got it to a point where i like it. it def took some work though, messing with the different settings. probably took me two weeks to get it tuned properly (but i am super picky).

The suckiness of Logitech mice is exceeded only by the wildly sucky buggy drivers they make.

They don't track worth a baconnaise. And the drivers are buggy, after decades of writing drivers. How awful is that?

As #5 says, I get much better results with an old wired Microsoft IntelliMouse.

I have to admit, their ergonomics and industrial design are terrific. But operationally, they just suck.

i bought one refurbished. it works well, but i have to jiggle it inside the charger to get it to charge =/
also the battery life isn't what i expected (i have to charge it almost every week now). other than that, it works beautifully.

I also have a refurbished one and it has been working great for over a year now. Battery life is not an issue since i just throw it on the base whenever i go to bed.

Wait for a new MX to drop to $50 or lower and get it instead.

I bought one of these back during Amazon's Black Friday deal last year. I think it was $15 or something like that. Never had a deal like that again. They were also selling for $40 last year at another retailer, brand new.

That said, I love this mouse. It feels and works much better than the MX Air, which is good, but does not have the same feeling.

Awesome mouse. I have two that I paid around $100 each for when they first came out.

it seems like the VX series I bought from newegg
I feel extreme comfortable with my VX cordless mouse, however, the tracking is worse than my -$4 HP laser mouse.
luckily i paid nothing for my logitect VX
hope this MX series mouse will do better in tracking.

I bought a refurbished wireless mouse few years ago. Its buttons stopped working after one year. Although laser mouses are amazing (sensitive, smooth), I don't think buying a refurbished mouse is a good idea.

it looks pretty good, but i'd say go with a differnt mouse.. for this one my friend has it and the shape really annoys me to no end, i personally prefer the razer diamondback 3g just because the arch isn't as high.
