Has anyone tried this mouse? I generally like Logitech mice, and I'm curious about this one. If you have it, how do you typically use it? Simple browsing, gaming, etc? Thanks in advance!
I have their VX brand which looks quite similar. The mouse wears out quite fast. After a year the left click became quit unresponsive, probably not a good choice for gaming. If you play FPS I would not suggest any wireless mouse.
I bought this about 2 weeks ago. Factory reconditioned (looks new) for $50 /FS. Nice mouse. I sold my old MS Bluetooth Intellimouse. This one feels different, but nice ergonomics. Forward and back buttons are a little too small. I really like the rechargeable batteries. Replacing batteries seems wasteful. Charger stand is a little awkward--mouse does not just drop in. Logitech makes good products but this one "may" have some reliability issues. MANY reviews on Amazon so look there. I'd say for $47 this is a really nice mouse. Although I used to game with the Bluetooth mouse I've sort of lost interest in that but #2 is probably right--there are specialized gaming mice.
For general use, these are widely considered "as good as it gets". I have had three of these (and gifted 2 or 3 more), and have never heard of wear issues. Besides, Logitech has an unofficial 'lifetime' guarantee: tell them the problem, and 5-to-1 you'll have a new mouse in the mail. These are better mice than the 'nano' versions (which feature the tiny tiny receiver) because they feature a couple extra sets of useful buttons. Besides, the receiver isn't that big anyway.
Sucks to be left handed. I've had this mouse for at least 2 years and it's running strong. Battery life is still pretty good, too. I would suggest getting a USB extension cord and putting the receiver on your desk. The signal had some trouble when it had to pass through my solid oak desk. It works reliably for 6 - 8 feet with a clear line-of-sight. All in all a great mouse.
#3, it's unlikely there is any cordless mouse on the market that can't use rechargeable batteries. Granted with many you have to take the batteries out to recharge but it's hardly an inconvenience when it only needs to be done once every few months on most of the current-gen models.
As for wear issues with the left-click button, yes if used often enough, like gaming, the left click can wear out BUT logitech uses some of the highest quality switches in the industry so your other alternatives aren't any better in this regard.
I bought the Anywhere Mouse MX, and I love it. This mouse was selling at the same price at the time (~$60), and now it's $43?! The batteries in my Anywhere MX lasts around a little more than a month of daily use; is that normal?

Have this mouse and love it. The weighted fly scroll wheel is so much better than the standard ratcheting type.
Great deal here, just ordered a backup mouse.
Great, thanks for all of the comments. Very helpful!
