I have this mouse and I have to say it's been very reliable and efficient. The battery lasts a good 3-4 weeks before it needs to charge overnight.
3-4 weeks? unlikely unless you rarely use your pc
i use this mouse for about 3-4 hours a day and it runs house in less than 2 weeks. Charging takes about 2-4 hours so if it dies on you while you're doing something important, you'd better have a backup mouse.
and i used to game with this mouse until i got tired of the lag/stuttering (look on logitech's forums and you'll see)
So would i recommend this? No. I got this thinking it was a nice mouse, but there are 2 things that make it a piece of baconnaise.
#1 lag/stuttering - This mouse lags a lot, especially during gaming.
#2 no swappable batteries - if the batteries die, you can't use this mouse for hours.
this mouse sucks
I've had this mouse for over a year and it's great. It's a bit heavy for gaming though.
I like this mouse... when it works. What I like about this mouse is it's size and it's fast scroll wheel. However, the wheel is what usually breaks. We use this at work, and the switching mechanism that allows you to go from click scrolling to fast scrolling breaks in about 70% of the mice with moderate use.
I would not use this for gaming.
Love this mouse. Rebuttals to complaints are as follows:
1) Issues with lag are common to all wireless mice. Don't like it? Don't get one.
2) Batteries: they run down. No way around it. The MX, unlike some other mice, has a battery meter (other ones only tell you just before they die). Have some forsight and charge overnight when the meter reads low.
Agree with #5. C'mon guys. If you want to play game, just get MX518, G5, or G9, you won't even use wireless mice. also this MX only has 800dpi. It's NOT design to be a gamming mouse. so STOP COMPLAINING.
Giving expert advice on mice is nothing to be smug about.
buggy software that doesn't always engage your macros correctly, shitty battery compared to the mx1000, but damn does it look/feel good.
The 30 buck rebate is added back to the minimum for free shipping. So you'd need $99 plus $30 to get it free. That's suckey.
This is a heavy mouse but very nice and accurate.
The fly wheel is a nice idea and every buttons are programmable for each programs you run.
I don't understand why people complain about battery life... it come with a charge stand, so just put the mouse back to the stand at the end of the day and it will be fully charged the next day. And a full charge will last for many days of use.
This is design to be desktop mouse so it is designed to be large and ergonomically for your right hand to prevent stress to your wrist.
This is one of the few mice that do not hurt my wrist after only a couple hours of use. So ergonomically I think it is one of the best. I bought two of these during the holiday season last year, I love this mouse. Battery life seems pretty good as well. For my usage of about 3-4 hrs/day or so, lasts around 2 weeks, which I think is decent.
Is it easy to wipe lotion off of?
interesting...reviews across the board, just like anything else
