The only problem with the rechargeable mice is that if you are going to use the mouse hardcore, like for work or for a long gaming session, you get stuck with a dead mouse at some point because the charge ran out.
You can use the mouse as its charging through USB or wall plug adapter.
yeah, then it turns it basically into a normal nice.
^ so it's the best of both worlds, a cordless mouse that can keep running after 3 seconds to plug a cord in.
Okay, this is my 10th official post....
I'm all for cordless mice, if you charge it every night, you should have no problems with it dying mid-game...
I use this at work (about 50+ hours a week) and it only needs to be charged on the weekend. Actually I've forgot to charge it one weekend and it made it to the following Thursday so about 8 days for at least 8 hours of use a day. So we'll say 64 hours minimum not including when it's sitting idle. You're not going to kill this in a day or two no matter what you're doing.
I'd highly recommended this although I haven't been able to take full advantage of all the functionality in Ubuntu. It works best with the supporting software but just fine without it.
My personal preference is the Logitech Dinovo Edge keyboard to go with this.
I like to buy stuff (mice included) that uses AA batteries foremost, AAA second most. I keep a few spare Eneloops charged up and ready to use. When something dies from low battery, put the charged ones in and put the dead ones in the charger. Downtime of any device is only a few tens of seconds.
