MY MX Laser is about 5 years old. It has worked very well up until recently. It turns some single-clicks into double-clicks. But it is nice and solid. The charging stand is awesome and a single charge lasts me for 5-7 working days. So if they still make 'em like they used to, I recommend it!
#1, my G7 does that sometimes, too. Power down the computer, disconnect the mouse receiver, remove the batteries from the mouse, and wait a few seconds. Put everything back together and power the computer back on. Should take care of the problem; it has for me a few times, anyway, for months at a time.
