This has no power supply, so you can't hook up high power devices

swreynolds: totally expected as i presume it is meant to be portable being for a notebook. though, yes, some portable usb hubs do have a power receptacle, i haven't seen one sold with a "brick" in years (nor even advertised with the needed voltage & current should you want to buy one separately).

i have a netbook and the portable usb hub i purchased to accompany it is only used for low power devices (mice, thumb drives, serial adapters), saving on the netbook a usb port or two for high power devices (2.5" usb hard drive, dvd drive).

What makes this so "premium"?
