MidnightBox.com has the refurbished Logitech Pure-Fi Anywhere 2 Speakers for iPod (Black) for $48 + $5 shipping = $53 shipped. It has a 10-hour rechargeable battery. Supports iPhone and all iPod models with dock connector.
I am not an i-anything fan. I would appreciate more choices for other players such as creative, zune, etc. Does anyone know of a good set of speakers with universal hookups for a decent price.
#8, I use this with my Sansa e280 and it works great. instead of hooking it up via the dock, the speakers do come with a standard male-to-male cord for hooking up your other MP3 players through their earphone jack and a jack on the speakers. Works great, good sound, does retain the charge for quite a bit. Using this method of connectivity, it won't charge your MP3 player.
Great sound from a small footprint.

Does anybody know if this charges the iphone 3g as well?

#6, 7...according to their website, this does charge the iPhone:
