I just bought a Sony factory refurb google tv blu-ray player for $100, imo that's a better deal than this.
I bought one of these a few weeks ago. It's 'OK'. It could have been great, but most content providers have blocked the built in web browser to prevent you from watching their stuff on a TV. Unfortunately the box is locked down (no rooting, despite it being an android based setup), so you can't just install another browser or fudge the user agent strings. Using it with playon works fairly well to bypass the blocks, but requires running an app on a windows pc to do the dirty work.
I really like the overlay aspect though - it has hdmi IN and out, so you can watch live TV from the hdmi in source while surfing, etc. Works great for netflix and pandora too.
Well worth the money in the $100 range (and more so at $75), but could have been so much better if the content providers didn't act like money grubbing control freaks.
