Does anyone know if this still can be rooted?
I was not aware that it ever could be.
I need something to display my PC screen on a TV via a wireless connection.
Nothing fancy.
No gaming stuff.
Just a static display.
Typical netbook resolution.
Any suggestions?

Petejc. You missed a good deal that had the LG AN-WL100 for about $25 a few days ago. Looks like the two main places are out of stock now, but you might be able to find it discounted elsewhere too. From a thread on another site, this device can be modified to work with any TV (basically just wiring in a wall-wart power supply) and not just LG (which supplies power to the device).
tany: Not rooted, and probably never will be from what I read last. Apparently logitech really went overboard locking it down due to the hdmi input.
This is an ok device, very mediocre processor, apps crash constantly.
