if you rly need a wireless keyboard it had better be for a good reason.. if it is just going to sit there on the desktop, then your just wasting batteries imo.

#2 - This is a great keyboard and we've decreed that to be a good enough reason (the mouse is at best adequate, though). Perfect for HTPC (from the couch, of course) or for my work notebook. However - #1, NOT a good deal 4 the price. This was more than $15 less than this price when I acquired mine. I do like the (wired) Wave Del-Home-End etc. better but this still works just fine.

I think for HTPC, you'd want to get a keyboard with the built in track ball. It sucks typing on a coffee table and if you lean back on your couch, you don't have a good surface for your mouse. Gaming on such a keyboard will be nearly impossible but many people trying to setup a HTPC won't be looking into gaming on their TV.
