Electronics Expo has the Logitech Squeezebox Radio (Black) for $200 - $75 off with coupon code BIGBEN + $8 shipping = $133 shipped. Internet radio device streams music from online services like Pandora, Last.fm, and Slacker as well as iTunes (PC or Mac). Features 2.4" LCD, alarm clock, 802.11g Wi-Fi, ethernet port, 3.5mm headphone and line-in jacks, 3" woofer.
I agree with #1. What's with this overpriced dedicated application stuff when other devices will do the same thing and more for less money. What next $300 netbooks?
This device is best used with a computer that runs software that streams your content to the Logitech device. I own one of these and love it because I can stream my collection of music, play Slacker or Last.fm and remotely control it all from my Android phone or a web page on my server. The only problem is that there isn't a line out and you'll have to use the 3.5mm jack to connect it up to any receiver.
I got this for $95 after rebates last xmas. It's a great device but streaming radio over the internet is not as reliable as FM radio. And, there are some local stations I used to listen to that I can't get on the squeezebox.
In general I am happy with my purchase for under $100. But, Logitech promised a battery would be out for this device and almost a year later I still can get a hold of one.
#3 is right. One of the great uses of this device is streaming from server software on your computer. I also occasionally use the line in feature to boost my speaker capacity from my laptop.
Wasn't this $99 after rebate at amazon a couple of months ago?
If you have an iPhone or iTouch, can't you get a nice portable speaker for the same money and stream it?

I was also in on the deal last Christmas,. http://www.logitech.com/en-us/speakers-audio/wireless-music-systems/devices/6066 for the battery link. what an outrageous price for a battery. They make better models with line out etc.
